In fact, we have found that transaction times have lengthened due to factors that are out of our direct control such as possible delays from lenders, valuers, surveyors, local authorities, search providers and other law firms.
In order to benefit from financial savings you must complete your purchase on or before 31st March 2021, otherwise you will have to revert to and pay Stamp Duty under the previous rules.
We advise all our clients to be aware of this and to ensure that you have funds available to pay Stamp Duty if necessary.
Any promises made by other legal professionals offering to guarantee to get the transaction through ahead of the SDLT deadline, should be questioned.
